Our unique curriuclum blends hand building & wheel throwing so that students progress in a structured classroom.

Course Details:

Far more enjoyable than just painting pieces, students experience creating their own pottery. Students will learn basic skills of:

  • Wheel throwing
  • Hand building
  • Throwing, trimming & glazing their own pieces

From the early stages of cups, bowls and plates to more advanced pieces, students progress at their own pace. As a student advances with each semester, they begin to work both independently and with the help of the instructor, to start to work on more complex pieces. Classes are for all levels, beginners to advanced, and for all ages are welcome to attend.

Advanced students should consider our Practicum Series Ceramics/Sculture course. See Programs for more details.
