Target Age Range: 8+ year-olds
Class Duration: 90 Minutes

Course Summary:

In this Maker's Series class, students will build their own computer and learn programming too. Using a PIPER kit, each student will build their computer and then learn from a PI based curriculum. The computer can be yours to keep for an additional fee*. Throughout the course students will:

  • Build a computer.
  • Play Minecrat: Pi
  • Learn Programming
  • PRINT 3D OBJECTS

* -Piper Computer kit that is required for course. The computer is supplied at the start of the semester. All computers are fully workable computers that students can use beyond a classroom setting. To purchase a set after class completion, please contact us.

Course Details:

Students will build their own computer following PIPER blueprints. After building their computer, students will then learn programming using a PI based curriculum featuring Minecraft. The computer is fully functional and can be purchased from Renaissance Art Center.* The class features include exploring 3D printing and code/game design elements.
